The project is divided into 4 broad sections progessing through Research, Planning, Building and Results. Each section contains articles and reports from the participating countries.

Research Archaeology in Iceland. Forest and Wood research including Electron Microscopy from Italy. Sourcing timber from the forests of Europe. Hogback gravestones in the UK. Comparisson of Saxon church in England and Early Slovakian church. Early Slovakian Buildings. Examples of wooden buildings throughout Europe

Planning Each of the partners organized a visit to the Heritage sites in their respective countries, to encourage an understanding of the cultural background which would conrtibute to the project. These visits also served to bring together the management team for planning meetings. The Pleniary session was held in Slovakia. This section also includes visits to Italy, Iceland, Denmark and Germany.

Training Students of archaeology, carpentry and heritage management acquire new skills relating to ancient wooden buildings.
